Characteristics

Viscosity PAG has various grades of viscosity, and the viscosity change from temperature fluctuation is low.
In other words, the viscosity index (VI) is high, which is the main reason for using KOREOX PAG.
Lubricity In comparison with the mineral oils and other synthetic oils, PAG has very high hydrodynamic lubricity to be effective on reducing the mechanical abrasion.
Fluidity Generally, PAG has low pour point, and some products can be used even in -50℃ or less. These PAGs do not form wax, and the pour point depressant is not required. Generally, PAGs are not influenced even when cooled under the pour point.
Stability PAG is considerably stable even in thermal, air (appropriate amount of antioxidant added), acid, alkaline and other severe conditions.
Products dissolved from thermal decomposition are evaporated or melted, and there is almost no residue after the products are burned.
Solubility KOREOX A series and W series are melted easily in cold water, and dissociated in high temperature. The lubricity of PAG in water can be described through this property. KOREOX P series is possible for emulsion. Generally, PAG is not melted in mineral oils or hydrocarbon solvents.
Impact on Metal Under general use condition, KOREOX PAG without water has no corrosiveness to iron, steel, bronze and aluminum, and can be used in industrial machines or hydraulic systems without any limitations. Additives can be used in locations with water to prevent corrosion.

Impact on Rubber & Coating Materials

KOREOX PAG does not affect most of the natural rubber or synthetic rubber compounds, seal and gasket.
However, some coating materials can be melted by the solvency of PAG, so Epoxy or Phenol coating materials must be applied.
