CHEMICALS’ polyalkylene glycol (PAG) was named ‘2023 World-class Product’.
‘World-class
Product Certificate Award’ is a certification system organized by the Ministry
of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and operated by the Korea Trade-Investment
Promotion Agency (KOTRA) with a goal of diversifying exports and securing an
export growth engine. The world-class products are classified into ‘current
world-class products’ which are USD 50 million or greater in a global market
size or USD 5 million or higher in export figures while maintaining as a one of
the top 5 global market shares and ‘next-generation world-class products’ that
are anticipated to enter the top 5 within the next 5 years.

CHEMICALS’ PAG is categorized as ‘next-generation world-class product’.
PAG
is synthetic oil made with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. It is used in
diverse industrial fields such as freezer compressor lube, flame-retardant
hydraulic oil, food-processing oil and textile & metal-processing oil. It
is mostly sold in the U.S., Europe, China and Southeast Asia.
The
recently released allyl compound is a product developed with PAG synthesis
technology. It is used in cosmetics, paint additives and surfactants and fully
exported.
An
official from NH CHEMICALS said, “Based on our advanced technologies and understanding
